So I’m a little late in posting the May Wine of the Month…but better late then never! And this wine is worth a shout out.
I’m not always a big Rose fan, but I found one that is not only inexpensive, but absolutely gulp-able. Down right delicious!
Moulin De Gassac Guilhem Rose 2010

On the nose you get fresh cherries and strawberries, and tiny hint of citrus rind. On the palate the wine is refreshing, and bright with crisp acidity. You get loads of red berry fruit, but the wine finishes dry. This would be the perfect summer sipper and would pair perfectly with smoked salmon or even a fruited chicken salad.
I could sit on the porch on a warm summer day with a glass of this in my hand any day. It’s not too dry, not too fruity, and definitely the right price!

Sooo – odd question but I think you might be the blogger I heard about this weekend at FitBloggin who lives in King Farm? If so…me too! I had no idea
. Drop me a line sometime – we should be in touch!
You had me at inexpensive! I’m not a huge rose drinker either, but when they’re paired well I think they can be great!
