November Wine of the Month

by Lauren on November 4, 2010

I chose theGosset Grande Brut Rose as the November Wine of the Month because now that the holidays are quickly approaching I thought I would pick a lovely sparkling wine that is either great as a hostess gift or just a wine to enjoy with that special someone.

The Gossett Grande Brut Rose is golden in color with a hint of pink. It is smooth, elegant, and has a nose of rose petals and fresh strawberries. The wine is gracious, soft, and extremely romantic. You definitely taste a bit of rose oil on the palate with a touch of strawberries and cream. This is by far one of the most elegant and best tasting roses I’ve ever had.

“Bright pink. Potent red berry, blood orange and musky floral qualities on the nose, with an undercurrent of suave minerality. Fresh red berry and bitter cherry pit flavors are buffered by gentle acidity, gaining a sweeter raspberry character on the close. Very sexy stuff, with the body and punch to take on full-flavored foods-International Wine Cellar 91 points”

Lew and I just made our fist stop on the way to the foodbuzz festival. We dropped our twins off at the grandparents and are now on the way to Nashville fly out in the morning. We look forward to meeting you in San Fransisco.
