Hello Hello!!! Well, I can’t believe it’s done! The surgery on Thursday went well, and I was out of the hospital, and in my bed by 5pm! The surgery was at 12:30pm, so it did take me a little longer than normal to get myself together to get home. Did I even mention that I don’t do well with needles and anesthesia? I’m the absolute worst! I’m still pretty much bed ridden, and am completely incapable of doing anything. I’m not in so much pain, as I am woozy and dizzy from all the meds. I have to take about 10 different pills a day, and my body is just reacting very weird to it all. I am woozy, loopy, nauseas, and just down right bored. I can’t get up for long periods of time because I start to feel woozy so I have to lay back down. Let me tell you-it has not been a fun process at all!!!! I don’t wish this upon anyone.
Food has been scarce. I’ve been drinking a LOT of chicken noodle soup, eating crackers, grilled cheeses, and drinking as much juice, water, and ginger ale and my body can handle. There has been one drink that has really saved me. It’s called B.R.A.T. Every heard of it?
Well it’s mainly for children when they get sick, and is a lactose free drink that is soothing on the tummy. This stuff has been excellent, and really works even if I’m not a child. This is the chocolate honey flavor, and it is slightly sweet, and just the right thickness for an upset stomach. I’ve been having about 2 glasses a day. The B stands for Banana, R for Rice, A, for applesauce, and T for Toast. Those are all things the we normally want when we don’t feel well so this company put them all together in an organic drink. All I can say is Thank you, Thank You, Thank You!
Other than that, just been watching a lot of Food Network and working on my blog. I’ve been staying at my parents place, so I’ve been getting the royal treatment from my mom (she’s the best), but she is taking me home today. Now Chris will have to take care of me..LOL! Let’s see how he does.
Hope you all have a great week!!!
P.s. The blog is still in progress so I’m sorry if the links don’t work or it is slow. It will be completely finished by Friday, and I can’t wait!

Glad you are feeling decent. And I have heard of the BRAT (although the T stands for Toast) diet when sick but had no idea there was a drink!
Glad to hear you pulled through! I think the Food Network is the best way to recoup
I’m glad the surgery went well!!! Recovery must be awful but just keep thinking of how good you will feel once it’s all said and done!
I hope you are back on your feet in no time! It’s crazy what meds can do to your body. That BRAT drink sounds good – it’s tough fueling when you’re nauseous, so it’s nice to find something that tastes good and is easy on the tummy. The blog is looking great, too!
Glad to hear it went ok! I was thinking of you all weekend. Get plenty of rest. You’ll be back to normal in no time. Til then, enjoy being pampered and waited on!
Awww – I´m so glad the surgery went well, girl!

Sometimes you just gotta rest until you´re body recovers…
Which isn´t necessarily a bad thing, right?
I´ve got you on my prayers, lovie!
Have a terrific week!
Brazilian XOXO´s,
Gabriela
