Product Review – Pirate Brands Potato Flyers

by Lauren on February 6, 2010

We all know the well known brand-Pirate Brands. They make the very popular snack; Pirate’s Booty. I am trying to stay away from processed foods these days, but if I have to eat them or I am craving a little snack, it’s Pirate’s Booty that I prefer to eat. I love how simple the ingredient list is, and all the Pirate Brands snacks are All Natural. I was able to receive a sample of their new Potato Flyers and decided to give them a shot last night. We are snowed in here in DC, and I was feeling a little snacky. I tried the Sea Salt and Vinegar flavor. At first I thought the flavor was a little artificial, but after 2 crisps they really grew on me. Each crisp is a little thinner and denser than a mini rice cake, and the flavor brought me back to my childhood. Every once in a while when I was younger I was allowed to buy a snack bag of chips off of the snack cart in school. My flavor of choice: Salt and Vinegar. I always love the salty tangy punch in your face type snacks. This sea salt and vinegar was a little more subtle than the UTZ chips I had as a kid, but still really good. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed munching on these little guys.

I usually hate how small a one serving bag of snacks is for the amount of calories it has, but this was very different. This bag was much bigger than other one serving snacks I had, and only had 120 calories. I felt like I was munching forever. It was incredibly satisfying, and I was very happy once I was finished the bag. I think I’m in love with these new Potato Flyers! I highly recommend them for a satisfying quick snack.

So that’s it for the product review, and now I will leave you with some usual pictures of this awesome snow storm we are encountering. As if you haven’t seen enough pictures of snow on my blog!
