Happy Monday! Well I’m not feeling as happy as most of you because I have to work on this holiday. BOO! That’s retail for ya..gotta love it! After last nights dinner and not getting to bed till pretty late, I seriously could not wake up this morning. I woke up with just enough time to get ready, pack a quick lunch and run out the door. Unfortunately that means no work out for me. But I am hoping to get one in when I get home tonight because I seriously need it. (I just realized I say the word “seriously” a whole heck of a lot.) SERIOUSLY!
Since I was so full last night after dinner I knew I wanted to make a green monster again this morning, but we had a guest staying with us, and he was still sleeping. So I opted for some more Organic Vanilla yogurt like yesterday.
Except today I added the other 1/2 of my Honeycrisp Apple
And a re-heated pumpkin and cranberry oat bar.
An interesting combination that actually worked out very well.
A combination to keep me full until lunchy.
SIDENOTE***I wanted to add something to my post about my eating regimen I created yesterday. As I’ve said before I don’t do well with challenges, diets, goals, or anything of that nature. I get too stressed out, can’t accomplish them, get more upset that I can’t accomplish them and eat even worse. It’s just a bad situation all around. So the regimen that I created yesterday was to be more of a lifestyle for me. I read all these healthy lifestyle blogs and desire to eat nutrient rich foods that keep my body feeling good and looking good, but I tend to slack off a bit and eat some real *crappy* food sometimes. I mean what can I say I’m a girl who loves her Cheetos and chips! I’m just trying to eat a little less of the bad stuff and a little more of the good. I am never going to be able to cut out everything unhealthy in my life-I will just go crazy and I love food way too much. I am just hoping to change my eating habits a bit to make myself feel better and look better.
So how am I doing so far? Pretty well I think. I’ve been following my **I really don’t know what to call it since it’s not a goal, plan, or challenge** new healthy me living routine pretty well so far. Taking my vitamins, drinking loads of water
trying to cram in more fruits and veggies and eating less processed foods. Enter-My lunch. I had a California Veggie Burger Sammie and some veggies on the side.
My sammie was 2 piece of whole wheat bread, a schmear of Laughing Cow low fat cheese, Dr. Praeger’s California Veggie Burger (LOVE), and a sliced tomato.
The veggies were just frozen veggies that I mixed up with one triangle of Laughing Cow Cheese. I kind of wish I didn’t mix the veggies with the cheese. They would have been fine on their own and the cheese ended up not melting like I wanted it to.
A SERIOUSLY
good lunch. Later I did eat a little bit of some of the most amazing cheese on earth…BURRATA! We have it back in the store and I just had to have some. Just a few bites…that’s all.
See ya after grocery shopping and din din!

There are days where all I eat is “crap”…. well not ALL I eat, but its def mixed in there with all my veggies. lol I LOVE chips, pretzels, crackers, bread.. ya name it. You just gotta find a balance and it certainly looks like you are!!
Ive never had those Dr. Praegars burgers but really want.. they look delish!
I have a box of those same veggie burgers sitting in my freezer and have yet to try them! Perhaps I’ll have that for dinner tonight. Thanks for the reminder!
Dude…HATE it when sleeping interferes w/ my smoothie making. Nice work on healthy living!
I’m the same way, as soon as I say I won’t have something, I want it all the more. I continually strive for balance, as my downfall is cookies, bars, cakes, you name it – if it’s sweet, I’ll eat it!
PS-I see you already have one, but I nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award today on my blog.
I agree with not cutting all unhealthy things out of your diet. I would have not being able to eat chips! It’s all about moderation and balance.
