WDLE? PART 1

by Lauren on December 7, 2009

Remember the saying WWJD? Wow-I just thought about that this morning, and realized that was so popular when I was growing up? Or maybe it’s still popular and I didn’t know it? Who knows. Anyways…the title of today’s post is What Did Lauren Eat? Today I didn’t have to work until 12 so I woke up early to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It takes a lot of time and work to make it all, but I know its worth it because I won’t have to buy any food today, and I don’t have to worry about eating things that I shouldn’t from being too hungry.

After all my meals were prepared I packed them up in this awesome little bag I forgot to tell you guys about.

I received this at the Turkey Chase 10K on Thanksgiving. It is from Whole Foods, and I love using it as a lunch bag. It is about the same size as the Whole Foods small paper bags, but it is plastic and sturdy and re-usable. Perfect size and strength for carrying all my goods to work.

I also got in some exercise this morning for a change! Did you notice how lazy I was last week? Well I hope not because it is embarrassing. This morning I did a kick butt morning routine with many more arm strength moves. I have so many to choose from, but have really been slacking on the arms.

My goal from now until Christmas is not to worry so much about running (because that is going to have to take a back seat right now) but to focus on my arms, my core, and my nutrition. That is my goal at least-so I we will see how I do. This is what I did this morning.

  • 2 sets 100 reps leg lifts each leg
  • 3 sets 20 reps kneeling push-ups
  • 2 sets 50 bicycle crunches
  • 6 Tracy Anderson Arm Moves
  • 2 sets 30 reps Tricep Raises (not sure if that is the right name)
  • 1 sets 30 reps side bends with 10lb weights (works obliques)
    • For breakfast I packed something small, but I think I covered all my bases.

I packed 3/4 C Kashi Heart to Heart Toasted Oats Cereal for carbs and fiber, 1/8 C slivered almond for protein, and about 1/2 C of organic fresh blackberries for some fruit. You can probably guessed that I had coffee as well.

(Don’t mind the expiration date-they are still good)

I promise to start eating more creative prettier looking breakfast soon. I just love how easy this is, and I love munching on this cereal in the car. It takes away from all the bad drivers out there! haha. No, but really, it is so good and keeps me full for a really long time!

That is all for now. My dinner I prepared looks super delish, and I used a new squash! Can’t wait to try it. Boy-it’s going to be a long day. Be back lata!
