Sorry I didn’t post last night, but it was such a long day, and I was exhausted. Last night we had a wonderful Spanish Wine Tasting at the store. Sylvia Puig, the winemaker for Vinedos de Ithaca wines, was in town, and was so kind to do a special VIP tasting.
If you remember we had a very small Port tasting about a month ago. This one was a little fancier because we were able to get the winemaker in. We set up tables and served some cheeses and chorizo to have with the wines. We served Istara P’tit Basque, Manchego, Palacios Mild Chorizo, grapes, and sliced French bread.

It was so nice to hear Sylvia’s story about how she makes the wine, the climate, the soil, and all the hard work that goes into each one. She even brought samples of the slate to feel, touch, and smell, so we can see what the grapes grow in. It was such a great night, and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thank you Sylvia for sharing your wines with us!

I didn’t get home until really late, and I was so exhausted. It had been a VERY long day! This morning I woke up ready for a great day off. I have a big day planned tomorrow so I wanted to have a relaxing day today. With exercise of course. I started with some breakfast.
I had another glass of chlorophyll and water. To be honest I do not feel any different this week taking this every morning. It is really just a test to see if it lives up to all the hype, and in my opinion it doesn’t. My skin looks and feel no different, and I don’t have more energy, and I don’t feel any different. I’m going to keep taking it just to finish off the week, but I think I would be better off having a green monster every morning. Speaking of green monster I was tweeting with @SeeSarahEat, and we tweeted about having a green monster challenge next week. We both agreed that we feel so much better and we have been craving them lately. I think I am going to live up to this challenge and make one every day next week to see how I feel. I do have a TON of kale to eat up so it is perfect!

I mixed the honey flavor, which is probably my favorite, in a bowl with half of a honey crip apple and some pumpkin flax granola. I diced half of the apple and nuked in the microwave for 1 minute.
Then I I topped with 1/2 C of my Pumpkin Flax Granola I made last Saturday.
This was a wonderful crunchy yummy breakfast. I really enjoyed the crunch of the granola. I had been wanting to make the granola for so long, and I am so glad I finally did it.
On todays workout schedule: Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones and 6-7 mile run. I gotta make up for yesterday!
Tomorrow I have a big day planned. First I have a bootcamp and 6 mile run with Charm City Run. It is their 1 yr anniversary, and they are having a little festival at the store. Then I am meeting up with an old friend from middle school that I met up with at The Baltimore 1/2 Marathon. We plan to do a light run. And after that I am meeting up with Ashley from Daily Goods for a tea/coffee date. I have been chatting with her for a while on the blogs and twitter, and now I am so happy to finally be meeting her in person. Quite a busy day if you ask me!
