Quick and Easy

by Lauren on October 5, 2009

Quick and Easy is the name of the game today. Welcome to a brand new work week! Even though my work week started yesterday I still feel like this is the official first day.

I woke up this morning to do an easy 3 mile run. I started with my warm up routine.

  • 2 sets of 60 leg lifts each leg
  • 3 sets of 20 kneeling push-ups

I left for my 3 mile run hoping to make it a quick and easy. It was easy, but my legs weren’t running as quick as I had hoped.

  • Distance: 3.20miles
  • Time:27:37
  • Average Pace: 8:38
  • Mile 1: 8:41
  • Mile 2: 8:54
  • Mile 3:8:42
  • Last .20 miles: 1:20

I left for work and brought my breakfast with me. This morning was a quick and easy breakfast.

  • Stonyfield Blueberry Yogurt
  • Bear Naked Free Sample Cranberry Raisin Cereal
  • Kiwi

This was the free cereal I applied for online. Very crunchy, not much taste, and a little high in calories. I probably wouldn’t buy this for myself.

The kiwi was so sweet and juicy. Maybe one of the best kiwi experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately this breakfast did NOT fill me up at, and because the cereal was so high in calories, the total calories for my breakfast was already pretty high.

Because my stomach was literally growling at me, lunch came early today. And I’m sure you guessed it-it was QUICK AND EASY!

I had one of last night’s bean burgers on a whole wheat pita. I added some lettuce and tomato and feta to the sammie as well.

Again-good, but not really that filling.

Snacks for today include an apple, some almond butter, and if I need them-1/4 C almonds. Considering my hunger today is a level 8 I am probably going to have all my snacks.

This is my LAST Justin’s Almond Butter. I’m SO sad!!!!

Tonight’s dinner was going to be SUPER quick and easy. We were planning on going to Chris’ parents house for dinner to have a delicious dinner cooked by Patrice. But unfortunately Chris’ little sister has the flu so that idea got the boot! I hope she feels better! :-)

Now I have to think of a quick and easy dinner to make tonight. Hmm, I have the thinking cap on!

Now I wish the theme of “Quick and Easy” applied to my work day. But unfortunately today is a LONG day at work with A LOT to get done. Oh boy!

Can’t wait to share dinner with you later tonight!

I love “quick and easy” food and meals. :) Your bean burger in the pita looks great!
