Good morning Everyone-or should I say afternoon? Is it already 1 pm? Oh my where did the morning go.
Last night I had a quiet night to myself. I had a glass of red wine and made some roasted veggies. I wasn’t too hungry, and I was in the mood for veggies so that is exactly what I had. I really wanted a night to re- cooperate so I didn’t blog, but don’t worry I didn’t do anything too exciting. I made sweet potato fries, yucca fries, and roasted Brussels sprouts. And of course got all caught up on my girly TV: Gossip Girl, Biggest Loser, Grey’s Anatomy, and Private Practice. One heck of a night of TV!
While I was watching The Biggest Loser on DVR I was stunned when I heard Tracy’s husband say this “Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever”. I thought this was interesting because this was the exact quote that got me through my race last Saturday. I had seen a woman hold up that sign and thought about it the entire rime I was racing. Now I heard it twice in one week. CRAZY! (too bad it was from crazy Tracy’s husband) None the less it is still a great quote!
Today is my day off from work and this weekend I am helping my mom and dad move. My parents have had their house up for sale for a while and they finally sold it! YAY! But they go to settlement on Monday which means we have to have everything out by the end of this weekend. I was supposed to spend the weekend with my girlfriends, but family always comes first, and they need my help.
I woke up this morning and did some cleaning around my own apt-dishes, cleaned kitchen, cleaned bathroom, shook rugs, washed the floor. I was a busy little bee. I feel better once everything is cleaned and organized. Its like I can finally move on with my day. I know you may think I’m crazy, but it’s just how I am.
I also made another delicious bowl of for oats breakfast for yet another rainy day! This bowl of oats blew yesterdays oats out of the water! I used one packet of maple and brown sugar Quaker oats as well as some Old Fashion oats.

I used a little milk and a little water and heated them up in the microwave. Then I added a dallop of Peanut Butter Co. Mighty Maple Peanut Butter.

This combination was incredible! Holy Moly was it good. Filling and yummy!

I also had a mug of hot chocolate. I wasn’t in the mood for coffee this morning so I had a mug of hot cocoa instead. I used a packet of hot cocoa my mom brought back from Spain.

Now I am off to help my parents for the rest of the weekend. I’ll be back on Sunday-but promise you won’t forget about me!
See ya-have a great weekend everyone!

Super cute bowls! I love how festive you are with your ghost in the background!
I have never tried Mighty Maple PB.. I should put that on my list!!
Wow, when I saw the pack of Cola Cao, it totally brought me back to junior year of high school when I went to Spain. I brought home a whole canister of that but we didn’t drink it fast enough and had to throw it away
Thanks for posting it- always nice to see a blast from the past.
