I am freezing in my store today! We have to keep it at 65 degrees in the store for the wine, but when it is cold outside, it feel REALLY cold in the store. I wear this huge wool sweater to keep me warm in here.

Note I have on a long sleeve shirt, AND a sweater underneath the big wool sweater. Layers people…we are talking Layers.
Lunch was another awesome salad. Again, with anything I could find. I prepped some of this this morning.
Leftovers from last night, roasted veggies, rice, and a small amount of chicken, with toasted pine nuts.

Butter Lettuce with Dulse

This is my first time using Dulse. I had originally read about it on Fitnessista. I was intrigued and decided to try it out for myself. The real name for dulse is palmaria palmata, and is a red algae that grows on the northern coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Dulse is a good source of minerals and vitamins, and it contains all trace elements needed by humans and has a high protein content. It has been a source of fiber for centuries. Sounds pretty good so far. But how does it taste?

Well actually pretty good. I mean it is mixed in here, but when I tried a piece by itself it just tasted chewy and salty to me. I thought it would be really fishy so I was worried, but it just has the slightest tiniest fish taste. Its like a hint of fishiness. (To me at least)

The salad was really tasty. I heated up everything, but the Dulse and lettuce, and used some Balsamic and olive oil as my dressing again. This is seriously some of the best balsamic I have ever had. Here is the salad all mixed up.

The lunch was super satisfying, and scrumptious.
For a snack after lunch I had my leftover kiwi from yesterday. I needed something sweet. And I enjoyed some more pumpkin spice tea. I like having tea in the afternoon. Especially when its cold and cloudy out.

I also enjoyed another yogurt as my snack. I know-its been a ritual this week, but it is seriously perfect in the afternoon for a pick-me-up. Plus I love getting in all that Calcium!

I am taking the rest of the night off from blogging. I have a pretty interesting/tasty dinner planned, and can’t wait to blog about it tomorrow. Thursdays are my ‘Friday’ and I have Friday and Saturday off from work. So I usually like to spend my Thursday night relaxing while watching Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice.
I have an easy three miles and a Jillian Michaels DVD planned for my workout tomorrow. Hopefully I can keep up this motivation!!!
See you all tomorrow!
