A Quickie

So I had so much to do tonight and here is a really late post on the rest of the day.

Snacks…The GOOD

And the BAD..not pictured
chex mix and few bites of a twix ice cream bar. I know I know…I have a bad side too

Dinner was maybe one of the best dinners I have ever made. I had pasta that I brought back from Italy, spaghetti squash, Sage sausage, and a home-made pesto sauce. The pesto had fresh basil from my herb plants, pine nuts, Parmesan Cheese, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, nutmeg, and lemon juice. I think the lemon juice and nutmeg were the key ingredients. I didn’t add any fresh garlic because I wasn’t in the mood for that. However, this combination was outstanding. Seriously so good I didn’t want it to end.

As you saw I took the spaghetti squash seeds and toasted them then topped the pasta and squash with the seeds. The perfect added touch!

Again I had a glass of the Grivault Bourgogne Blanc with dinner tonight. Much better pairing with this dinner than last night.

After dinner I had another small bowl of Edy’s Fudge Tracks ice cream. I’m not so good at taking pictures of the not so healthy things I eat am I?

I am also not really in the mood to run 10 miles tomorrow. I’m just tired of these long runs. I don’t like waking up early, I’m discouraged, and I just want to run the 1/2 marathon on Saturday and be done with it. But hopefully I will feel different in the morning.

Now I still have Google Chrome to download, a schedule to make, TV to watch, and kitchen clean up to finish. How is it ALREADY 11pm?

Sounds like you need a break from running for a little while! Maybe just get through the week and the half mara then let yourself off the hook for a while?
