Perfection

by Lauren on September 5, 2009

Today’s weather is perfection. Clear, crisp, and 80 degrees. Does it really get any better then this? So I’m spending some time with my family, which is really nice.

I woke up this morning feeling MUCH better then yesterday. I started with my daily routine of leg lifts, and push-ups. After I was warmed up I hit the pavement for a fast paced 6 mile run. I really pushed myself to see if I could beat any of my times. Here are my stats:

  • Time: 56:30
  • Distance: 6.35 miles
  • Pace:8:54 min/mile

I’m thrilled. I really pushed myself so I was very happy about this time. When I got back, Chris and I went for a light 2.5 mile jog. This was a great cool down to just run and chat.

My run made me famished. I was starving when I got back so I made a pretty hefty breakfast. I wanted to eat something to fill me up for a few hours since I won’t be eating lunch for a while. Breakfast was superb!

MMMM MMM. Now I am happy and full. I think breakfast is becoming my new favorite meal. Time to relax for the rest of the day.

Even thought it doesn’t feel like fall today, this week I started to really get excited about doing “Fall-ish” type things. I like Fall for many reasons.
1. It reminds me of highschool when we would go to the football games
2. It remind me of highscool homecoming and homecoming parades
3. I LOVE Pumpkin. Pumpkin Anything and Everything. You name it, if it has pumpkin-I LOVE it!
4. Pumpkin Patches, and Picking apples
5. Pumpkin spice candles, coolness in the air, leaves changing color

I love pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin lattes. I LOVE pumpkin. I know there are many ways to tweak the old recipes to make them more health concious, so I can’t wait to give them a whirl!

I hope you all are enjoying your labor day weekend. I know I am!
