Last night we all met up at Chi-Cha Lounge in DC for Chris’ friend, Glenn’s, birthday. This is one of their favorite spots to go to for a little hookah and fun drinks. It was a small group of friends, which was nice and more intimate.

We were able to get awesome seating in the back.

The Chi-Cha lounge is mainly a hookah bar, but they also serve some Latin inspired small plates, and awesome cocktails. The menu looked so yummy, but I had already eaten trying to avoid late night cravings.

I got a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to start, and Chris got a Mojito.

Everyone ordered some food, but like I said earlier, I had already eaten dinner so I didn’t want to eat anything after that. But of course I tried a few of these Chifles, and they were pretty awesome. Plantain Chips and home-made guacamole. I couldn’t resist trying them. The guacamole is made fresh daily, and you could definitely tell. It was fresh, and really flavorful. I was very surprised. I’ve never eaten plantain chips with guacamole, but it was such an great combination.

Chris got a chicken skewer. The presentation was lovely.

We ended getting a few bottles of wine and just hanging out for a bit. I probably had more wine then I should have, but when you’re having fun it’s hard to stop. I’ll just cut back in other areas today.

We didn’t get home till 2am so I guess you could say it was a fun night! However-I am a bit tired today. Pushing through…pushing through.
