Lunch was…well…interesting. It looks good was soo blaahh! First of all..check this out.

This is my co-workers lunch. I think they have jumped on the bandwagon with healthy eating. Look how colorful and yummy this looks! I think I have some competition!!
But I didn’t have much to work with. I took 2 pattypan squash and cut them up. Chopped up 1 leftover pork tenderloin and put it all together with some no salt added diced tomatoes (that has no taste by the way).

I mixed everything together with some salt and pepper and to be honest it tasted downright disgusting. So what did I do? I added CHEESE! I added a few slices of Peccorino Toscano Fresco and melted it on top. Not terrible-wasn’t the best though. However-I’m still full which is GREAT!

Later in the afternoon I dug into my small stash of Popsicle’s. These are Safeway Brand Frozen Lemonade bars and I heart them. They are only 80 calories and so refreshing. My bars look a little sad-I put them in the freezer at work and I think it was a little open one day and they melted and then refroze.

But they still taste the same so that’s all that matters…right? Whats up with my food melting and refreezing!?!?!

This afternoon I was busy at work making a display for my tasting on Saturday. I have talked about the tasting a little, but this is a big deal for me. We usually have tastings every Friday and Saturday at the store, but we always have our vendors or importers in to pour the wines. Well this time it’s ALLL me! I picked out all of the wines, and I will be pouring them for the customers while explaining each one. They are all wines from my trip to Italy so I wanted to have some pictures to show as well. I made this awesome display to put on the tasting counter to go along with my wines. Isn’t it cool?

I am going to make some talking points as well so I don’t get nervous. I’m usually very good at talking in front of people (I mean I went to school to become a TV Host), but when it comes to wine I’m still a little nervous because I am still learning. So now I will be more then prepared, and I am actually excited. I hope they like the wines as much as I do!
