Like I said before in my post this was a new winery, and we don’t carry any of their wines. It was interesting to try the barrel samples versus the bottle samples. I really enjoyed these two wines.
Castello di Uviglie San Martino 2008:

Crisp, zippy, lots of layers, very fresh, ripe fruit, perfect summer wine. Exactly what you need on a hot summer day.
Pico Gonzaga Monferrato Barbera 2006:

Lush, ripe, dark cherries and blackberries, so juicy and soft, a little bit of coffee on the end. Velvety and medium bodied.
